Active Black Country (ABC) are one of 43 recognised Active Partnerships recognised by Sport England as the strategic lead for sport and physical activity across the local region.

We aim to reduce inactivity amongst our residents and promote the region as a great place to live, work, learn and play.

As a result of a strong focus on Children and Young People and education we have been successful in obtaining funding for a project to support schools to open up their sports facilities, in order to broaden the offer of extra-curricular and out of school sporting and physical activities available to pupils and the wider community.

We are recruiting for a self-motivated, experienced and pro-active individual to lead on this important piece of work.

As the programme lead, you will develop insight into the existing capacity of schools across the Black Country to open their facilities at evenings and weekends for local community access and you will develop and manage a programme of pilot projects that look to apply the findings from the insight to establish key success factors and common barriers.
